Brian Kennish created a new Chrome plugin:

Facebook Disconnect blocks all traffic from third-party sites to Facebook servers, but still lets you access Facebook itself.

I’d say that is a must have for any Facebook user.

UPDATE: This plugin is a bit more robust in blocking many other services.
