I had the need to pick up a new printer a little over a month ago — while I have a nice photo printer, I needed a new laser printer. Most people don’t need printers anymore, but I had become so tired of fighting with my old one that I broke down and picked up a new one.
I ended up buying the Samsung M2020W which is a wireless monochrome laser printer. I paid $65 for it, but you can snag it on Amazon for $70.
I have to say, I really like this printer and I might actually consider buying another toner cartridge for it when the time comes — instead of just getting a new printer as I commonly do.
There’s two main reasons I like this printer: it’s small, and it works.
Most laser printers I have owned take up an unwieldily amount of space, however this one fits on a standard bookshelf in my office. I can’t tell you how happy this makes me. I didn’t have to do any work to fit it in my office anywhere — just on the shelf and done.
Secondly, it works. I’ve complained about printers not working well in the past, however this one works just as it should, when it should. I’ve left it on for weeks, turned it off for days and each time I needed to print, it worked. It works without wires, it works on iOS. It works.
So, if you are in the market for a small laser printer for those last vestiges of paper you need to print out, I can highly recommend the Samsung M2020W.
